[Review] L'oreal Excellence Crème with Pro-Keratin

Product description:

Rich, beautiful, natural-looking hair colour can take years off our looks.

That’s why the L’Oréal laboratories have developed Excellence Crème – the only triple protection colourant. It’s an easy, no hassle way of getting sensational hair colour that perfectly covers your greys. It includes a comb applicator, for easy application and more even coverage from root to tip.

My take:

I didn't think this was very spectacular or really made me love it. I think it was quite an okay experience and the colour felt and looked rich.

However, I was surprisingly impressed at the after-colour conditioner. In all the hair colour I've used so far, all the conditioners came in a packet for at most 2 applications. However, L'oreal Excellence Crème with Pro-Keratin provided a conditioner in a bottle which lasted 4 to 5 applications. It's a very small bottle though but I like it very much, for the simple fact that it lasted 4 to 5 applications and the smell was very pleasant.

Will buy again?
Probably.

The blend with precious Cashmere Protein & Pearl Extract deeply cares for your hair: it leaves your hair amazingly soft and as supple as cashmere, with a gorgeous, pearly shine while ensuring an intense and long-lasting color.

My take:

This is potentially my favourite besides the Garnier one I've used before.

Upon opening the colourant and mixing and everything, there was barely a hint of chemical smell, so unlike the Revlon Colorsilk.

And even though there wasn't any hint of heavy chemical smell, there wasn't any fruity and perfume-y smell like Garnier Nutrisse Cream. In a nutshell, this product doesn't have any smell at all.

The colourant doesn't result in ridiculously dry hair after washing off the colour, which is quite an opposite to the Revlon Colorsilk.

I ADORE the after-colour conditioner. It claims to leave your hair shining like pearls and feel like cashmere, and it really did the job. I LOVE it. It smells really delicate and the scent wasn't strong at all. It just leaves me happy with the whole dying job :)

As you may have noticed, I have compared this to Revlon Colorsilk in more ways than one, and it wasn't very positive. So I have to say, overall, I will not buy Revlon Colorsilk again.

Will buy again?
Definitely! This is on par to the Garnier Nutrisse Cream :)

[Review] Garnier Nutrisse Cream

Product description:

Garnier Nutrisse is the only permanent haircolor creme that nourishes with grape seed and avocado oil. The nourishing color creme enriched with fruit oil concentrate, penetrates deep into hair fibers to nourish and condition your hair so it takes color better and holds it longer, root-to-tip. Garnier Nutrisse delivers rich, long-lasting color with 100% gray coverage.

Is Garnier Nutrisse right for you?

Yes:
# If you want to nourish your hair as you color

# If you want grays to be completely covered

# If you want a color creme that spreads easily, won't drip and smells great

# If you want a natural, healthy-looking color that’s silky soft

. Nourished hair takes color better and holds it longer.
. For richer, more radiant color - root to tip.
. 100% gray coverage

My take:
I love this a lot! The first thing that hits me with this product is the smell. Colour concentrates are usually ladled with chemical smells, as told by my friends and the experience with Revlon Colorsilk. However, Garnier Nutrisse Cream was totally opposite. The developer milk and the colour concentrate smell wonderful, a fruity and floral type of wonderful.

The colour coverage is as good as Revlon's. Then again, in this era, all hair dyes do guarantee good colour coverage due to better technology and chemicals.

On the downside, the amount of the product isn't a lot. Because my hair is shoulder-length, the amount was enough for me. But if your hair is really long, you will need to buy at least 2 bottles because if you just buy one and JUST realised it wasn't enough, then you will be in a bit of a trouble.

Will buy again?
YES! :D

[Review] Revlon Colorsilk

Product description:

Revlon® Colorsilk™ gives you natural-looking, even color from root to tip that stays beautiful between colorings. It is formulated to penetrate every strand with its gentle, ammonia-free formula and after-color conditioner with nourishing silk proteins. Hair looks silkier, shinier and healthier than before you colored. 100% gray coverage.

Leaves hair in better condition.

Available in a range of 40 brilliant shades*
Colorsilk™ permanent haircolor can be used on natural, color-treated, relaxed or permed hair.

My take:
The colour coverage is really good.

However, the product is quite drying. Even after using the conditioner, my hair still felt rough. However, the next morning, my hair regained its softness and there was a new shine in my hair.

The smell reminded me so so much of chemicals. It has a very heavy chemical smell. However, I was absolutely in love with the conditioner because it smell heavenly!

Will buy again?
Maybe. This has been my first hair dye so I would like to experiment more.
